Un tallarín

A son and game with 4-year olds, it involves singing passing a plate of noodles around.
It helps in practising numbers, commands, and general vocabulary.

Commands (22-month olds)

This contains video fragments of 2 classes, in which 22-month old children learn some commands (some of them quite complex: drink the water, knock on the door).
Pay attention to how we surround those commands with a meaningful and pleasant context.

Trae (la comida)

This is a game in which we review food vocabulary (along with the parents), and issue the command "trae", making the children fetch the appropriate item.
It is an easy, engaging activity, which resulted particulartly well.

La sopa loca (Crazy soup)

This class segment is ideal to further familiarize the children with the opposites "frio/caliente", and to accustom them to the sound of the Spanish imperative. It is simple and modular enough, so that it can easily be adapted to incorporate extra vocabulary, but using a very strucutred and repetitive sequence the children can remember and recognize.

Ricitos de Oro (Goldilocks)

This class is directed to two siblings, 3 and 4 years old, respectively.
With the parents, we agreed to allow their younger 18 month sibling to tag along, since he seems to enjoy the classes. The content is not designed for his age group, but whatever he absorbs certainly doesn't hurt him.

In this class we present more elements of the Goldilocks story. By now the children are familiarized with the key elements of the story, in Spanish.
Watch how they are comfortable expressing degrees in size, the temperature of the soup, etc.

Caperucita Roja (Little Red Riding Hood)

This is a first attempt at introducing a new storyline and "theme": Caperucita Roja.
The children of this class aready had a previous 2-month course, but the story is new to them.
Along with the story, I introduce a folk game featuring a wolf, which has related vocabulary and theme.
